As the President and one of the founding members of the first and only Denver area regulatory and best practices trade association regarding ethical and moral practices for elder placement and referral agents in the greater Denver metro area (Greater Denver Referral and Placement Alliance), I have helped shape the industry of elder living into a viable and ethical industry. I work with heart to find holistic and well considered solutions for our clients, always ensuring that their needs and goals are met.
I am passionate about speaking to audiences on the aging process utilizing best practices, servant leadership, and ethics for the ever-changing environment that is Denver’s aging population. I am a featured speaker on radio, at educational seminars, for corporations, and for OLLI (University of Denver, Osher Life-Long Learning Institute).
Colorado has experienced tremendous growth in the senior care scene the past few years and with that growth comes an influx of potentially poorly ill-informed advice for our elders in the community. Aging needs are often crisis-driven, making decisions overwhelming and confusing. In 2013, I wrote my thesis on aging in Colorado while obtaining my masters from the University of Denver. Utilizing my thesis as a guide, I founded Aging at 5280 to address the aging process by understanding all resources available, professionalism, and ethics to benefit our aging population.
The team at Aging at 5280 assists families in navigating their roadmap in aging successfully. Like your fingerprint, which is unique to you, we all age differently. We are committed to guiding you in developing your distinct roadmap to aging.
”The first step in the evolution of ethics is a sense of solidarity with other human beings”
– Albert Schweitzer
Aging at 5280 is here to help elders and their families navigate through the healthcare system and customize a plan to meet their needs.
I enjoy speaking to audiences regarding best practices, servant leadership and ethics for the ever changing environment that is Denver’s aging population.

From the moment I met Cindy, I have had nothing but relief with my parents as they ensure my parents are well taken care of. When we need someone in a pinch, we can trust that someone will be there and everyone is so nice and caring. Thank you!Mike - Littleton, CO
Very professional and helpful. Cindy did a great job of helping my Mom move from a very poor assisted living situation to one where she can be happy. She made sure that what she exposed Mom to was within her ability to pay and were places with a good reputation for care and services.Susan - Boulder, CO
Thank you, Cindy! With your help I was able to move my family member from a lengthy hospital stay to a memory facility perfectly suited to her needs. Then you set me up with a team to sell her home and hold an estate sale! All while I was stuck in another state due to COVID restrictions. You were my 2020 miracle! I cannot recommend you highly enough!Carol - Outside Colorado
Incomparable! Aging at 5280's care of our father was above and beyond anything we could have imagined.Pat - Denver, CO
If you don’t know where to start … start here … I was so overwhelmed with all the decisions I had to make. Cindy made the process clear and understandable. She helped place my mother into a housing community that actually fit within our budget and my mom’s care needs.Denise - Highlands Ranch, CO
Hi, Cindy. I just wanted to thank you for all you're doing for our mother. We appreciate you very much! Wanted to pass this along. I got an email from my mother this morning and she mentioned how wonderful you've been and also stated, "I honestly don't know what I would do without her." So thank you for everything and all your patience throughout this, as well as ensuring our mother is taken care of.Laura - Denver, CO
This company is amazing. When I met Cindy, my mom was in acute care and we needed a lot of help. We have had nothing but wonderful people coming out to care for my parents. You will be very happy with this company if you need help caring for a loved one. Bobette - Denver, CO
They were incredible in helping find a care home when that became necessary. Always caring, always on time and responsive, experienced caregivers, thoughtful, understanding, will always work with your needs or changes.Brad - Englewood, CO
