Guided by genuine empathy, Phyllis Gutin puts her heart into helping seniors and their families find the best path forward. She listens carefully to each family’s needs and priorities, then helps create a personalized plan focused on comfort, confidence, and quality of life.
Phyllis understands firsthand how overwhelming elder care decisions can become. After navigating home health care and assisted living for her own parents, she gained a personal understanding of the questions, emotions, and challenges families face during these transitions. That experience ultimately inspired her to join Aging at 5280.
As an Elder Care Manager, Phyllis serves as a trusted advocate and resource for seniors and their families. She helps identify appropriate senior living options, provides personalized community tours, connects families with resources, and offers steady guidance throughout the decision-making process.
Before joining Aging at 5280, Phyllis built a diverse career rooted in communication, entrepreneurship, and community service. She spent many years working in media before owning and operating a successful national service franchise with her husband. After moving to Colorado in 2017, she founded the nonprofit Colorado 1000 and served as its Executive Director until retiring from that role in January 2026. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to connecting people with organizations, resources, and opportunities that strengthen their communities.
Outside of work, Phyllis enjoys traveling with her husband, attending live concerts, entertaining friends, volunteering, and staying involved in community events. She also treasures time with her adult daughter, who recently relocated from Seattle to Colorado, and spending time with the family pup.
I understand how personal and emotional these decisions can be. My goal is to help every senior and family feel heard, supported, and more confident about the path ahead.
