An age-old question for senior living advisors.
Cindy Koch has been in the Senior living space for about 10 years and she is frequently asked “what are you going to be doing when you get older?”
Hopefully she will still be living with her husband, but if that isn’t possible, then she is interested in a Golden Girls situation. As one of the youngest in the Baby Boomer generation, who have the ability to own big homes, the Golden Girls scenario would be ideal for her. She would love to live with other active women who love to travel, and would ultimately cherish the companionship, friendship, and support that living environment would bring.
With her time in the senior living industry, Cindy notes how important it is to take care of your health and to listen to your body. The lack of focus on personal health can lead to chronic disease or a stroke or cancer, which also can put one on the path to more critical senior living placements and having to leave their homes. It’s important to know when help is needed! Her advice is listen to your body, and when something feels wrong, or hurts, then get it checked out by the proper physician.
Stay healthy, Baby Boomers!
